planned location of industry

planned location of industry
Government intervention in the location of new industries in an area or country. As old industries in a region, such as shipbuilding, gradually decrease, new industries are required to take their place to avoid high unemployment and skilled workers moving away. Many governments provide assistance to those wishing to set up new industries in these areas.
